Marin Luther King Jr. Memorial Project

Martin Luther King Junior Memorial
 By: Charlotte and Courtney

Dear God,
As we gather here today may we remember the works that Martin Luther King Junior has done for our country. We thank you for the fact that you have inspired men and women of all nations and in many cultures. Please grant us that we can go out and face life’s changes with a strong perseverance. God, allow to give us strength for body to keep walking for freedom. As it states on the north wall, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of convenience and comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Assure that we will remove the all bitterness of heart and to be kind constantly. On the south wall of the Martin Luther King Memorial, it says, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” O’God we thank those who have been inspirational leaders in the past and present and hope to move forward with an open mind.
